RD45 Tandem Vibratory Roller

The RD45 articulated tandem axle rollers offer high centrifugal forces to provide full compaction and quality results. Configurations for these versatile rollers include traditional dual vibrating drums, tandem roller with an oscillating drum or as a combination version. All models feature an ergonomic operator’s platform with reduced vibration and articulated joint to provide for maximum driving comfort. The tapered design provides an excellent view of the drums and work site.

• Large fuel and water tanks allow for extended operation time. Central drainage allows water to be drained in one simple step

Unilateral drum support

Excellent compaction performance right up to the edge: With the unilateral drum support, you have curb clearance that allows flush rolling on both sides and you can move the roller directly up to walls or curbs. Re-compaction is not required. Only available for the models RD18-100 and RD18-100C.

Articulated pendulum joint

Uniform compaction, optimal driving stability: The three-point articulated pendulum joint ensures a uniform weight distribution on the front and rear drum at all times. This also improves the maneuverability and provides for maximum tipping safety and stability when turning curves.

Vibrating drum

Ideal for all traditional compaction work.
The vibrating drum optimally oscillates the material to be compacted with quick successive vertical forces. The built-in eccentric weight provides for a fast rotation and an excellent compaction performance.

Oscillating drum

Flawlessly compacts even asphalt at low temperatures. Perfectly suited for the compaction of seams (hot to cold). Trouble-free operation on bridges.
Rollers with an oscillating drum compact with a high efficiency, since the drums maintain permanent contact with the ground. With its two synchronous rotating eccentric weights, the drum uses forward and reverse movements to direct its entire compaction force into the ground.

Optimal view

Everything is perfectly within view: With the specially designed, tapered design of the roller, you always have an excellent view of the drum edges, the machine environment and the job site.
